I thought there was one thing left to do in Austria: eat some apfel strudel. However a stop at the Rosenburger on the way to Bratislava proved there was another. When choosing a dish I asked Tommy, from the kitchen, what to get. He didn't hesitate in recommending the Honig Schinken Braten. He told me he wasn't having me on but that it was the best thing in the roadside restaurant. He said it was a traditional Austrian meal of pork, marinated in honey for an extraordinary amount of time and then roasted to perfection. The only problem, he said, was that I could only have what would fit on one plate, and proceeded to pile on as much Honigschinken and dumplings as he could. Cheers Tommy!😉
